Not quite what i'd expected of my weekend journey for photos, but pleasing nonetheless. I am finally making my way back into photo adventures after a short trial of paid gigs. I don't think it's truly for me. So to help get myself back into the spirit, i ventured around Birmingham with my 35mm f/1.8 in search of some interesting shots. This shot was probably my choice of the day.
For one, i don't like fedoras, so i liked the abandoned state of it. It matched the cracks in the weathered and worn pavement.
Second, I probably could not have arranged the placement of this hat better than i'd happened upon it. It just asked me to take its photo.
Third, even though getting out and shooting was a personal goal for the weekend, the Digital Photo School assignment criteria for which i was shooting on this adventure was not a success. This isn't my environment. But that's ok. I'll try another assignment this week.

For now, i'm happy i got to go enjoy the cool weather, just me and the camera.
